About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct pre-donation medical screening
- Interact with donors and respond to customer needs
- Assess donor suitability and assist with set-up
- Provide appropriate feedback to ineligible donor candidates
- Ensure all donor screening information is complete
- Ensure donor confidentiality
- Perform work in a plasma center under variable and changing conditions
- Use protective eyewear, garments, gloves, and cold gear as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School diploma or GED
- Superior customer service standards
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Interest in making a difference in the world
- Required state licensures or certifications where applicable
- Ability to comprehend and follow instructions
- Ability to listen to and understand spoken information
- Ability to perform work according to oral or written instructions
- Ability to relate sensitive information to diverse groups
- Ability to sit or stand for an entire shift
- Ability to bend and twist neck and waist for 1–2 hours per day
- Frequent hand movement and precise coordinated finger, hand, and wrist movements
- Ability to lift 15 lbs. routinely, with a maximum lift of 50 lbs.
- Hearing acuity
- Color perception/discrimination and correctable near and far vision
- Ability to work with biological fluids, infectious organisms, electrical equipment, and extreme cold below 32°F
- Ability to use required personal protective equipment
