About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct pre-donation medical screening
- Interact with and respond to customer needs
- Assess donor suitability and engage in set-up
- Provide appropriate feedback to ineligible donor candidates
- Ensure all donor screening information is complete
- Ensure donor confidentiality
- Work in a plasma center producing plasma-derived medicines and supporting healthcare services
Requirements
What you’ll need- Superior customer service standards
- A High School diploma or GED
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- An interest in making a difference in the world
- Obtains required state licensures or certifications where applicable
- Patient, able to handle multiple tasks, and able to adapt to a dynamic work environment
- Exposure to biological fluids with potential exposure to infectious organisms
- Ability to use electrical office and laboratory equipment
- Personal protective equipment required, such as protective eyewear, garments, gloves and cold gear
- Ability to sit or stand for the entire shift
- Ability to bend and twist neck and waist for 1–2 hours per day
- Frequent hand movement and ability to make fast, simple movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists
- Ability to make precise coordinated finger movements to grasp and manipulate objects
- Ability to squat, crouch or sit on one's heels
- Ability to lift 15 lbs., with a maximum lift of 50 lbs.
- Ability to reach below shoulder height
- Essential hearing acuity
- Color perception/discrimination; near vision and far vision correctable in one eye to 20/30 and in the other eye to 20/100
- Ability to comprehend and follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences
- Ability to perform a wide range of complex tasks under variable demands and changing conditions
- Ability to relate sensitive information to diverse groups
