Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Educated and currently certified/licensed in the state of employment and according to state requirements as an Emergency Medical Technician, Paramedic, Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse
  • Current CPR certification required
  • Ability to stand and sit for up to 2 to 4 hours per day each
  • Ability to bend and twist the neck for 1 to 2 hours per day
  • Frequent hand movement and precise coordinated finger, hand, and wrist movements
  • Ability to squat, crouch, or sit on heels occasionally; walk, bend, and twist at the waist
  • Ability to lift 15 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. maximum
  • Hearing acuity essential
  • Correctable near and far vision; specified color perception/discrimination
  • Ability to communicate and understand spoken information
  • Ability to work independently and follow oral or written instructions
  • Ability to perform varied tasks under changing conditions
  • Ability to relate sensitive information to diverse groups
  • Ability to work in a plasma center with exposure to biological fluids, infectious organisms, electrical office/laboratory equipment, and extreme cold below 32°F
  • Ability to use required personal protective equipment
