About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Act as the general manager for a Plasma Collection Center with overall responsibility for center operations
  • Manage daily operations, supervision, quality control, and regulatory compliance
  • Meet quarterly goals, staffing and labor-efficiency standards, cost-per-liter targets, and quality KPIs
  • Create an organizational environment that supports workforce morale and productivity
  • Manage employees, training, quality goals, operational changes, and center efficiency
  • Monitor and evaluate operations; develop and implement process-improvement action plans
  • Manage headcount and staffing projections for cyclical, seasonal, and situational production needs
  • Direct personnel functions including hiring, work assignments, development, training, discipline, termination, and personnel records
  • Provide strategic direction and planning
  • Oversee donor selection, plasma collection, shipments, and records through the Assistant Manager
  • Ensure production-employee training and adherence to company standards
  • Manage inventory and ordering of goods and supplies
  • Maintain facility cleanliness and equipment condition
  • Oversee freezer management, plasma shipments, and freezer alarms
  • Develop community representation, public relations, and marketing campaigns to attract and retain donors
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, FDA-approved SOPs, OSHA, CLIA, and cGMP
  • Build donor rapport and support long-term donation
  • Prepare the annual budget with divisional and corporate management and achieve production and quality targets within the agreed cost structure

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in Science, Business, Nursing, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience in clinical or general business experience
  • Supervisory experience preferred but not required
  • Experience in a medical and/or cGMP regulated environment preferred
  • Experience with plasma or whole blood preferred
  • Familiarity with and ability to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, FDA-approved Standard Operating Procedures, OSHA, CLIA, and cGMP requirements
