About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support warehouse operations by loading and unloading trucks
- Sort and size materials
- Stack and prepare pallets for storage or shipment
- Identify products and inspect materials for damage
- Package shipments
- Create and maintain internal documentation
- Enter shipping, receiving and inventory data into applicable systems
- Perform material stocking, kitting, issuing and internal delivery
- Direct materials to staging and storage areas, production lines and other designated plant locations
- Maintain inventory accuracy and support operational efficiency
- Assist with maintenance of department equipment and monitoring devices
- Ensure calibrations, inspections and preventive maintenance are completed and documented according to schedule and GMP requirements
- Perform housekeeping, cleaning and sanitization in warehouse and work areas
- Maintain accurate cleaning, sanitization and pest control records and logs
- Investigate and resolve employee relations issues with department management and Human Resources
- Make decisions independently within a clearly defined area of responsibility
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or equivalent
- APICs courses or certification desirable
- 1-2 years experience in a production inventory control environment
- Experience working with MRP systems
- PC skills for data entry, inquiry and communication
- Experience shipping using UPS, DHL and/or Federal Express systems
- Minimum 1 year previous experience with pharmaceutical/biologics/related healthcare manufacturing clean environments
- Solid math skills including knowledge of U.S. and metric systems
- Ability to speak, read and write in English
- Basic typing and 10-key pad skills
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs, and occasionally lift/move between 50 and 100 lbs using lifting aids, techniques, or appropriate assistance
- Ability to work indoors, outdoors, in confined spaces and cold storage areas (-30C)
- Must be able to operate forklifts and hand-operated material handling equipment
- Demonstrated ability to relate well to others and manage conflicts effectively
- Able to maintain regular and predictable attendance
- Able to work rotations and weekends as required
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment with exposure to chemicals, electrical manufacturing equipment, moving machinery and high noise levels
- Ability to work at heights on scaffolding and/or ladders
- Ability to use required personal protective equipment
- Hearing acuity essential
- Depth perception and correctable far vision requirements
- Ability to communicate information and ideas through spoken and written words
- Ability to follow written or oral instructions and procedures
- Ability to maintain work pace to meet production standards
