About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Isolate IgG by processing plasma intermediate paste in a GMP environment
- Perform housekeeping and clean and sanitize production areas and equipment
- Prepare process solutions and dispense cleaning/sanitization reagents
- Assemble and disassemble production equipment
- Operate filters, vessels, skids, columns, bulk tanks, fork trucks, CIP circuits, DCS, and Unicorn control systems
- Monitor and control manufacturing processes
- Perform real-time production documentation and maintain accurate records/logs
- Perform sterile-filter integrity tests
- Prepare filter aid, filters, transfer panels, and process solutions
- Receive and stage paste, calibrate tank pH and conductivity probes, and harvest filter cake
- Prepare, test, sample, sterilize, formulate, and deliver sterile bulks
- Assist with column regeneration, evaluation testing, loading, and packing
- Clean and test UF/DF systems and install UF cassettes in UF skids
- For Technician II: perform GMP and safety audits
- For Technician II: troubleshoot production processes and equipment
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School diploma OR GED required
- Basic math skills
- Basic computer skills
- Mechanical aptitude
- Detail oriented
- Ability to work in a team environment and exercise good judgment
- For Technician II consideration: typically a minimum of 12 months as a Technician in the respective department
- For Technician II consideration: minimum of a meets expectations overall rating on the most recent performance review
- For Technician II consideration: demonstrated competence to perform independently in at least one Process Area and proficiency in at least two Process Areas
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand/walk continuously during the shift and work rotating shifts
- Required hepatitis B vaccination due to exposure to plasma fractions
- Ability to work around biological fluids, infectious organisms, chemicals, electrical manufacturing equipment, moving machinery, noise, dust/gas/fumes/steam, extreme cold, confined spaces, heights, and required personal protective equipment
- Hearing acuity essential
- Color perception/discrimination and specified correctable far-vision requirements
- Ability to communicate, listen to, and understand spoken and written information
- Ability to follow written or oral instructions and procedures
