About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Educated and currently certified/licensed in the state of employment and according to state requirements as a EMT-Basic, EMT-Advanced, Paramedic, Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse
  • Current CPR certification required
  • Ability to stand and sit for up to 2 to 4 hours per day each
  • Ability to bend and twist the neck for 1 to 2 hours per day
  • Frequent hand movement and ability to make fast, simple movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists
  • Ability to make precise coordinated finger movements to grasp and manipulate objects
  • Frequent foot movement; ability to squat, crouch or sit on one's heels on rare occasion
  • Ability to lift 15 lbs. routinely, with a maximum lift of 50 lbs.
  • Hearing acuity essential
  • Correctable color perception/discrimination, near vision and far vision
  • Ability to communicate, listen to, and understand spoken information
  • Ability to work independently and follow oral or written instructions
  • Ability to perform a wide range of tasks under variable demands and changing conditions
  • Ability to relate sensitive information to diverse groups
  • Ability to work in a plasma center
  • Ability to work with exposure to biological fluids and potentially infectious organisms
  • Ability to work with electrical office and laboratory equipment
  • Ability to work in extreme cold below 32°F while performing functions in plasma freezers
  • Ability to use required personal protective equipment, including protective eyewear, garments, gloves, and cold gear
