About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage commercial contract operations activities associated with gross-to-net impacts
- Lead month-end revenue recognition activities, including accrual calculations for commercial rebates, chargebacks, government rebates, service fees and GPO fees
- Ensure revenue recognition activities are supported by company internal regulations and procedures
- Understand contract, pricing practices, models and key business contracts
- Control and maintain systems for tracking contracts, agreements, amendments and customer communications
- Research and investigate rebate and fee errors in the Model N Flex system to mitigate systemic program issues
- Serve as liaison between Commercial Finance, Managed Markets, Legal and external parties such as distributors
- Maintain and calculate accrual rates using historical trends and relevant information
- Lead monthly and quarterly reporting of contractual payment activities, dashboards and trends
- Support forecasting analyses and ad hoc requests
- Ensure SOX controls are met and properly documented
- Participate in SOX-related, internal and external audits
- Maintain relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, cross-functional partners and direct reports
- Direct, mentor, train and develop team members
- Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned
- Help develop new capabilities to improve processes and operational efficiency
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor of Arts required; Finance & Accounting preferred
- Master’s degree preferred
- 4-6 years of experience in a Finance function in the Pharmaceutical Industry
- At least 1+ year of demonstrated prior experience performing Gross to Net functions
- Effective presentation, written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills
- Self motivated to learn new concepts and participate in new projects
- Adaptability to competing priorities under tight deadlines and fluid, unstructured environment
- Strong team player with ability to anticipate impacts of workload/issues to team deadlines
- Willingness to work some longer hours during peak periods
- Experience in developing Budgets and performing Financial Analysis
- Ability to work with diverse groups to obtain consensus on issues
- Ability to apply abstract principles to solve complex conceptual issues
- Ability to lift and carry objects up to 25 lbs
- Ability to frequently drive to site locations and occasionally travel within the United States
