About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Direct shift operations and ensure product integrity according to the production schedule, cGMP, safety regulations, and company policies and procedures
- Maintain floor presence to minimize discrepancies, promote process compliance, and ensure accurate documentation
- Participate in process and product troubleshooting to correct or maintain desirable process parameters
- Serve as an initial point of contact for partner groups including Maintenance, Quality, and Tech Doc Support
- Research and address simple process deviations and documentation errors
- Operate all equipment and lead processes to ensure the production schedule is met
- Recommend and, with direction, implement improvements to production methods, equipment performance, facility layout, and product quality
- Manage employee performance and coach and counsel employees for development
- Ensure required employee training is achieved effectively and on time
- Make decisions independently within a well-defined area and provide counsel within the field of expertise
Requirements
What you’ll need- BA/BS degree + 2 years related experience, or Master’s degree + 0 years
- Previous leadership experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
- Ability to lead teams and promote a positive and thriving team environment
- Ability to troubleshoot and provide sound solutions for complex process-related matters
- Ability to work in a manufacturing/laboratory environment with exposure to biological fluids, infectious organisms, extreme cold, production chemicals, moving machinery, and high noise levels
- Ability to use required personal protective equipment, including protective eyewear, garments, and gloves
- Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs
- Ability to frequently drive to other facilities
- Ability to communicate and understand information presented through spoken and written words and sentences
