About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Coordinate, plan, and maintain materials and supplies inventory to ensure uninterrupted IGIV-C production
- Serve as departmental SAP subject matter expert for most departmental SAP transactions
- Coordinate raw material and supply deliveries from on-site warehouse and off-site vendors
- Monitor IGIV-C production schedules and II+III paste availability
- Operate the IGIV-C Bulk Chemical Storage Tank Farm
- Offload bulk chemical tanker trucks according to approved SOPs, BPRs, and safety requirements
- Coordinate tanker delivery schedules with the chemistry department and procurement
- Maintain IGIV-C substores, paste loading dock, and gray space safely and compliantly
- Procure specialized materials, tools, components, and supplies and verify materials clearance requirements
- Monitor and replace the CIP100 Day Tank as needed
- Monitor resin inventory and stage resin for column changeouts using SLED inventory control
- Retrieve and evaluate data from Batch Production Records, SAP, and laboratory test results for departmental KPIs
- Perform weekly cycle counts of raw materials, plasma intermediates, and supplies
- Use the Distributed Control System to monitor bulk chemical storage levels and operate the tank farm
- Forecast chemical usage, place bulk chemical orders, and escalate unusual results or trends
- Ensure materials, supplies, and intermediates are labeled and stored according to site procedures and cGMPs
- Participate in or lead site and departmental improvement projects
- Review batch production records and reconcile process-order materials in SAP
- Communicate documentation discrepancies for review and correction
- Use SAP to determine materials usage and costs, set target inventory levels, and support departmental budgeting
- Train others on SAP use
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations
- Proficient with computers
- Ability to follow written or oral instructions/procedures
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with rotating shifts
- Ability to work with chemicals, biological fluids, electrical equipment, moving machinery, noise, dust/gas/fumes/steam, and extreme cold
- Ability to enter confined spaces and work at heights on scaffolding or ladders
- Ability to use required personal protective equipment, including protective eyewear, chemical suits, safety shoes/rubber footwear, gloves, hearing protection, and a respirator
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, sit, perform precise hand movements, and lift up to 50 lbs
- Essential hearing acuity and specified visual/color perception abilities
