About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Unload plasma shipments, identify and sort plasma types, and enter receipts into the Plasma Management System (SGP)
  • Inspect crates and pallets for damage and determine suitability for production use
  • Use Radio Frequency Terminal (RFT) equipment to control and monitor inventory movements in freezer and warehouse locations
  • Locate plasma by verifying and pulling material from freezer work orders
  • Identify and remove unsuitable plasma units from processed production units and consolidated lots
  • Assist the Classification area by managing plasma rejected or relocated from the inspection line
  • Maintain CGMP compliance through cleanliness and organization
  • Comply with company policies, SOPs, cGMP, OSHA, and EHS requirements
  • Support Supply Chain-related projects, provide guidance to peers, and train or coach department employees
  • Control raw-material inventory through receipt, classification, and distribution

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or GED
  • One to two years of experience in Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical or other FDA licensed Industry, or documented and demonstrated abilities to meet requirements through department curriculum based qualifications
  • Experience using forklifts and/or other power equipment
  • Experience reading, understanding, and following Standard Operating Procedures is desirable
  • Able to communicate effectively verbally and electronically with management and team members
  • Able to safely and effectively operate a forklift
  • Able to safely and effectively operate an electric pallet jack/rider electric pallet jack
  • Able to repeatedly lift 25 to 50 lbs. throughout the shift
  • Able to work in extreme temperatures of -30C or colder
  • Able to work with minimum supervision and follow detailed directions
  • Ability to perform quality work in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities
  • Ability to interpret and follow written procedures
  • Basic math and computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook
  • Capable of being cross-trained as a Plasma Classification Inspector
  • Ability to work occasional overtime
