About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Identify, develop, and maintain collaborative relationships with Key Opinion Leaders through scientific exchange
  • Assess therapeutic area dynamics and unmet needs
  • Engage in one-on-one scientific exchange with therapeutic area experts to identify clinical insights
  • Support the recent launch through continued nonpromotional scientific education
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant literature, publications, guidelines, and standards of care
  • Serve as a scientific resource and trusted partner to academic physicians, researchers, academic centers, centers of excellence, and key accounts
  • Provide complex medical and scientific information tailored to stakeholder needs
  • Serve as a research liaison for investigators developing investigator-initiated research protocols
  • Support medical congresses, advisory boards, scientific presentations, medical intelligence activities, scientific speaker training, and company-sponsored clinical trial sites
  • Conduct formal scientific presentations for appropriate healthcare audiences upon request
  • Represent Grifols Medical Affairs and communicate scientific priorities, research interests, drug development activities, and corporate mission
  • Adhere to company policies and applicable regulatory and legal requirements while maintaining high ethical standards

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must reside within the Northeast territory: New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, or Maine
  • Ideally reside near a major airport
  • Advanced degree in a scientific field, such as a PharmD, MD, PhD, or advanced or master’s nursing degree
  • Minimum of two years of related experience in clinical practice, academia, or the pharmaceutical industry
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Grifols’ philosophy and policies
  • Excellent interpersonal, strategic, and communication skills
  • Ability to understand, interpret, and communicate complex scientific and medical information and data
  • Ability to discuss highly technical information confidently with leading academic experts
  • Demonstrated computer literacy and ability to learn MSL programs and procedures
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to manage a demanding travel schedule and adapt to changing priorities
  • Valid driver's license in the state in which the employee works
  • Must meet the Qualifying Driver Criteria of the Grifols Fleet Program, including a 5-year MVR lookback of major driving violations
  • Depending on the area of assignment, directly related experience or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and competencies may be considered in place of the stated requirements
  • Frequent travel to site locations within the assigned region by car or air, with occasional domestic travel outside the region
