About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and maintain professional relationships with current and future pulmonary thought leaders, focusing on alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency
- Conduct scientific exchange with Key Opinion Leaders and therapeutic area experts on emerging trends, evidence, and patient care practices
- Assess therapeutic area dynamics, unmet needs, and clinical insights
- Disseminate scientific data and relevant clinical study information to physicians
- Maintain current knowledge of literature, publications, guidelines, and standards of care
- Serve as a scientific resource and trusted partner to academic physicians, researchers, academic centers, centers of excellence, and key accounts
- Serve as a research liaison for investigators developing investigator-initiated research protocols
- Support medical congresses, advisory boards, scientific presentations, medical intelligence activities, scientific speaker training, and company-sponsored clinical trial sites
- Conduct formal scientific presentations for appropriate healthcare audiences
- Represent Grifols Medical Affairs and communicate scientific priorities, research interests, drug development activities, and corporate mission
- Adhere to company policies and applicable regulatory and legal requirements while maintaining high ethical standards
- Travel frequently to site locations within the assigned region by car or air, with occasional domestic travel outside the region
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must reside within the West territory: CA, NV, UT, OR, WA, ID, MT, TX, NM, AZ and WY, ideally near a major airport
- Advanced degree in a scientific field, such as a PharmD, MD, PhD, or advanced or master’s nursing degree
- Minimum of two years of related experience in clinical practice, academia, or the pharmaceutical industry
- Comprehensive knowledge of Grifols’ philosophy and policies
- Excellent interpersonal, strategic, and communication skills
- Ability to understand, interpret, and communicate complex scientific and medical information and data
- Ability to discuss highly technical information confidently with leading academic experts
- Computer literacy and ability to learn programs and procedures used in MSL responsibilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to manage a demanding travel schedule and adapt to changing priorities
- Valid driver's license in the state in which the employee works
- Must meet the Qualifying Driver Criteria of the Grifols Fleet Program, including a 5-year Motor Vehicle Records lookback of major driving violations
- Depending on the area of assignment, directly related experience or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and competencies may be considered in place of stated requirements
