About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform any or all tasks within the plasma center, including production employee duties.
Supervise donor flow, donor selection, plasma collection, and manufacturing records.
Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, FDA-approved SOPs, OSHA, CLIA, cGMP, and company procedures.
Attend required training sessions and staff meetings.
Ensure accurate and thorough documentation and records.
Help maintain the facility in a clean, orderly condition and keep equipment in good working order.
Submit timely and accurate reports to the Center Manager and/or Assistant Manager.
Assist with control of center donor funds.
Train new employees and retrain current employees.
Communicate with other service areas to ensure accurate documentation and quality.
Build donor rapport and support customer satisfaction and long-term donation.
Report unsafe situations or conditions.
May be trained to repair plasma center equipment.
Assist management with tasks necessary to achieve company objectives.

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school diploma or GED.
Certified as a Phlebotomist, Donor Processor, Plasma Processor, and Designated Trainer.
Typically requires 4 years of related experience performing phlebotomy, donor processing, and plasma processing duties, with demonstrated proficiency handling difficult situations.
Ability to work in a plasma center with exposure to biological fluids, infectious organisms, electrical office and laboratory equipment, and extreme cold below 32°F.
Ability to use required personal protective equipment, including protective eyewear, garments, gloves, and cold gear.
Ability to stand for 4–6 hours per day and sit for 1–2 hours per day.
Ability to bend, twist, squat, crouch, make frequent hand and foot movements, and perform precise finger manipulation.
Ability to lift 15 pounds routinely, with a maximum lift of 50 pounds.
Essential hearing acuity; correctable near and far vision requirements.
Ability to communicate and understand spoken and written instructions.
Ability to work independently and under oral or written guidance.
Ability to perform varied tasks under changing conditions and communicate sensitive information to diverse groups.
