About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform any/all tasks within the plasma center and fulfill production employee duties
- Supervise donor flow, donor selection, plasma collection, and manufacturing records
- Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, FDA-approved SOPs, OSHA, CLIA, cGMP, and internal procedures
- Attend required training sessions and staff meetings
- Ensure accurate and thorough documentation
- Maintain facility cleanliness and equipment condition under Center Manager or Assistant Manager guidance
- Submit timely and accurate reports
- Assist with control of center donor funds
- Train new employees and retrain current employees
- Communicate with other service areas to ensure accurate documentation and quality
- Build rapport with donors and support customer satisfaction and long-term donation
- Report unsafe situations or conditions
- May repair plasma center equipment after training
- Assist management with tasks necessary to achieve company objectives
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or GED
- Certified as a Phlebotomist, Donor Processor, Plasma Processor, and Designated Trainer
- Typically requires 4 years of related experience performing phlebotomy, donor processing, and plasma processing duties
- Demonstrated proficiency in handling difficult situations
- Ability to comply with state and federal regulations, FDA-approved SOPs, OSHA, CLIA, cGMP, and internal company procedures
- Ability to communicate information and ideas clearly and understand spoken instructions
- Ability to work independently and follow oral or written instructions
- Ability to perform a wide range of tasks under variable demands and changing conditions
- Ability to relate sensitive information to diverse groups
- Ability to perform the stated physical and environmental demands, including standing, sitting, bending, twisting, frequent hand and foot movement, lifting up to 50 lbs., and use of required personal protective equipment
