Key responsibilities & impact

Assist in determining donor suitability
Establish rapport with donors to ensure customer happiness while maintaining donor confidentiality
Respond to and assist with donor reactions
Monitor donors and equipment to ensure donor health and product quality
Set up, disconnect, and operate automated plasmapheresis machines
Disconnect and dispose of contaminated disposable equipment
Work in a plasma center environment while using required personal protective equipment

What you’ll need

High School diploma or GED
Superior customer service standards
Ability to work a flexible schedule
Interest in making a difference in the world
Required state licensures or certifications where applicable
Ability to comprehend and follow oral and written instructions
Ability to listen to and understand spoken information
Ability to relate sensitive information to diverse groups
Ability to stand for 6 to 8 hours per day
Ability to bend and twist neck and waist for 1–2 hours per day
Frequent hand movement and precise coordinated finger, hand, and wrist movements
Ability to walk up to 6–8 hours per day
Ability to lift 15 lbs., with a maximum lift of 50 lbs.
Essential hearing acuity and correctable near and far vision
Ability to work with potential exposure to biological fluids, infectious organisms, electrical equipment, and temperatures below 32°F
