About the role

Assist in determining the suitability of donors
Establish rapport with donors to ensure overall customer happiness while ensuring donor confidentiality
Respond to and assist with handling donor reactions
Monitor donors and equipment to ensure donor health and product quality
Set up, disconnect, and operate automated plasmapheresis machines
Disconnect and dispose of contaminated disposable equipment
Work in a plasma center and support Grifols' plasma-derived medicines operations

Requirements

What you’ll need

Superior customer service standards
A High School diploma or GED
Ability to work a flexible schedule
An interest in making a difference in the world
Obtains required state licensures or certifications where applicable
Exposure to biological fluids with potential exposure to infectious organisms
Ability to use electrical office and laboratory equipment
Ability to work in extreme cold below 32 degrees F while working in a plasma freezer
Ability to use required personal protective equipment, including protective eyewear, garments, gloves and cold-gear
Ability to stand for 6 to 8 hours per day
Ability to bend and twist neck and waist for 1-2 hours per day
Frequent hand movement of both hands and ability to make fast, simple movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists
Ability to make precise coordinated finger movements to grasp and manipulate objects
Ability to make frequent foot movements; may infrequently squat, crouch or sit on one's heels
Ability to walk up to 6-8 hours per day
Ability to lift 15 lbs., with a maximum lift of 50 lbs.
Ability to reach below shoulder height
Essential hearing acuity
Color perception/discrimination; near vision and far vision correctable in one eye to 20/30 and to 20/100 in the other eye
Ability to comprehend and follow oral and written instructions
Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences
Ability to relate sensitive information to diverse groups
