Key responsibilities & impact

Assist in determining the suitability of donors
Establish rapport with donors to ensure overall customer happiness while ensuring donor confidentiality
Respond to and assist with handling donor reactions
Monitor donors and equipment to ensure donor health and product quality
Set up, disconnect, and operate automated plasmapheresis machines
Disconnect and dispose of contaminated disposable equipment
Work in a plasma center with exposure to biological fluids, laboratory equipment, and extreme cold
Use required personal protective equipment

What you’ll need

Superior customer service standards
A High School diploma or GED
Ability to work a flexible schedule
An interest in making a difference in the world
Obtains required state licensures or certifications where applicable
Exposure to biological fluids with potential exposure to infectious organisms
Personal protective equipment required such as protective eyewear, garments, gloves and cold-gear
Work is performed standing for 6 to 8 hours per day
Ability to make fast, simple movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists
Ability to make precise coordinated movements of the fingers to grasp and manipulate objects
Light lifting of 15lbs. with a maximum lift of 50lbs.
Hearing acuity essential
Color perception/discrimination, near vision and far vision correctable in one eye to 20/30 and to 20/100 in the other eye
Able to comprehend and follow oral or written instructions
Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences
Ability to relate sensitive information to diverse groups
