About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist in determining donor suitability
- Establish rapport with donors to ensure customer happiness while maintaining donor confidentiality
- Respond to and assist with donor reactions
- Monitor donors and equipment to ensure donor health and product quality
- Set up, disconnect, and operate automated plasmapheresis machines
- Disconnect and dispose of contaminated disposable equipment
- Work in a plasma center supporting Grifols’ plasma-derived medicines and transfusion medicine operations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Superior customer service standards
- A High School diploma or GED
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- An interest in making a difference in the world
- Obtains required state licensures or certifications where applicable
- Ability to comprehend and follow oral or written instructions
- Ability to listen to and understand spoken information
- Ability to relate sensitive information to diverse groups
- Hearing acuity essential
- Color perception/discrimination
- Near and far vision correctable in one eye to 20/30 and the other eye to 20/100
- Ability to stand for 6 to 8 hours per day
- Ability to bend and twist neck and waist for 1–2 hours per day
- Frequent hand, finger, wrist, and foot movement
- Ability to make precise coordinated movements and manipulate objects
- Ability to lift 15 lbs., with a maximum lift of 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in exposure to biological fluids, infectious organisms, electrical/laboratory equipment, and temperatures below 32°F
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment
