Assist in determining donor suitability
Establish rapport with donors to ensure customer happiness and confidentiality
Respond to and assist with donor reactions
Monitor donors and equipment to ensure donor health and product quality
Set up, disconnect, and operate automated plasmapheresis machines
Disconnect and dispose of contaminated disposable equipment
Work in a plasma center producing plasma-derived medicines and supporting transfusion medicine

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School diploma or GED
Ability to work a flexible schedule
Superior customer service standards
Interest in making a difference in the world
Obtain required state licensures or certifications where applicable
Ability to comprehend and follow oral and written instructions
Ability to listen to and understand spoken information
Ability to relate sensitive information to diverse groups
Ability to perform required physical demands, including standing 6–8 hours per day, walking up to 6–8 hours per day, frequent hand and foot movement, bending and twisting, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Hearing acuity essential
Correctable near and far vision requirements
Ability to work with personal protective equipment and exposure to biological fluids, infectious organisms, electrical equipment, and temperatures below 32°F
