About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist in determining donor suitability
- Establish rapport with donors to ensure customer happiness while maintaining donor confidentiality
- Respond to and assist with handling donor reactions
- Monitor donors and equipment to ensure donor health and product quality
- Set up, disconnect and operate automated plasmapheresis machines
- Disconnect and dispose of contaminated disposable equipment
- Work in a plasma center serving Grifols' plasma-derived medicines operations
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School diploma or GED
- Superior customer service standards
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Interest in making a difference in the world
- Required state licensures or certifications where applicable
- Ability to comprehend and follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to listen to and understand spoken information and ideas
- Ability to relate sensitive information to diverse groups
- Hearing acuity essential
- Color perception/discrimination
- Near and far vision correctable in one eye to 20/30 and in the other eye to 20/100
- Ability to stand for 6 to 8 hours per day
- Ability to bend and twist neck and waist for 1–2 hours per day
- Frequent hand and finger movements and precise coordinated movements to grasp and manipulate objects
- Ability to walk up to 6–8 hours per day
- Ability to lift 15 pounds, with a maximum lift of 50 pounds
- Ability to reach below shoulder height
- Ability to work in exposure to biological fluids, infectious organisms, electrical equipment and extreme cold below 32°F
- Ability to use required personal protective equipment
