About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist in determining donor suitability
- Establish rapport with donors to ensure customer happiness while maintaining donor confidentiality
- Respond to and assist with donor reactions
- Monitor donors and equipment to ensure donor health and product quality
- Set up, disconnect, and operate automated plasmapheresis machines
- Disconnect and dispose of contaminated disposable equipment
- Perform work in a plasma center while following required personal protective equipment procedures
Requirements
What you’ll need- Superior customer service standards
- High School diploma or GED
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Interest in making a difference in the world
- Obtains required state licensures or certifications where applicable
- Ability to comprehend and follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to listen to and understand information presented through spoken words and sentences
- Ability to relate sensitive information to diverse groups
- Ability to stand for 6 to 8 hours per day
- Ability to bend and twist neck and waist for 1–2 hours per day
- Frequent hand, finger, wrist, and foot movements
- Ability to make precise coordinated movements to grasp and manipulate objects
- Ability to walk up to 6–8 hours per day
- Ability to lift 15 lbs., with a maximum lift of 50 lbs.
- Hearing acuity essential
- Correctable near and far vision meeting the stated requirements
- Ability to work around biological fluids, infectious organisms, electrical equipment, and extreme cold
