About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist in determining donor suitability
- Establish rapport with donors to ensure customer happiness and confidentiality
- Respond to and assist with donor reactions
- Monitor donors and equipment to ensure donor health and product quality
- Set up, disconnect, and operate automated plasmapheresis machines
- Disconnect and dispose of contaminated disposable equipment
- Work in a plasma center supporting the production of plasma-derived medicines
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School diploma or GED
- Superior customer service standards
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Obtain required state licensures or certifications where applicable
- Ability to comprehend and follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to listen to and understand spoken information
- Ability to relate sensitive information to diverse groups
- Ability to stand for 6 to 8 hours per day
- Ability to perform frequent hand, finger, wrist, and foot movements
- Ability to make precise coordinated movements to grasp and manipulate objects
- Ability to walk up to 6 to 8 hours per day
- Ability to lift 15 lbs., with a maximum lift of 50 lbs.
- Ability to work with exposure to biological fluids, infectious organisms, electrical equipment, and extreme cold below 32°F
- Ability to use required personal protective equipment, including protective eyewear, garments, gloves, and cold-gear
- Required hearing acuity and correctable near and far vision
