About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist in determining the suitability of donors
  • Establish rapport with donors to ensure customer happiness while maintaining donor confidentiality
  • Respond to and assist with handling donor reactions
  • Monitor donors and equipment to ensure donor health and product quality
  • Set up, disconnect, and operate automated plasmapheresis machines
  • Disconnect and dispose of contaminated disposable equipment
  • Work in a plasma center with exposure to biological fluids, infectious organisms, laboratory equipment, and extreme cold in the plasma freezer
  • Use required personal protective equipment, including protective eyewear, garments, gloves, and cold gear

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Superior customer service standards
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule
  • An interest in making a difference in the world
  • Obtains required state licensures or certifications where applicable
  • Ability to comprehend and follow oral and written instructions
  • Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences
  • Ability to relate sensitive information to diverse groups
  • Ability to stand for 6 to 8 hours per day
  • Ability to bend and twist neck and waist for 1–2 hours per day
  • Frequent hand and finger movements and precise coordinated movements
  • Ability to walk up to 6–8 hours per day
