About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist in determining donor suitability
- Establish rapport with donors to ensure customer happiness and confidentiality
- Respond to and assist with donor reactions
- Monitor donors and equipment to ensure donor health and product quality
- Set up, disconnect, and operate automated plasmapheresis machines
- Disconnect and dispose of contaminated disposable equipment
- Perform work in a plasma center providing essential plasma-derived medicines
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School diploma or GED
- Superior customer service standards
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Interest in making a difference in the world
- Obtains required state licensures or certifications where applicable
- Ability to comprehend and follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to listen to and understand spoken information
- Ability to stand for 6 to 8 hours per day
- Ability to bend and twist neck and waist for 1-2 hours per day
- Frequent hand and finger movements; ability to make precise coordinated movements
- Ability to walk up to 6-8 hours per day
- Ability to lift 15 lbs., with a maximum lift of 50 lbs.
- Hearing acuity essential
- Correctable near and far vision requirements
- Ability to relate sensitive information to diverse groups
- Ability to work with biological fluids, infectious organisms, electrical equipment, and extreme cold while using required personal protective equipment
