About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist in determining donor suitability
- Establish rapport with donors to ensure customer happiness while maintaining donor confidentiality
- Respond to and assist with handling donor reactions
- Monitor donors and equipment to ensure donor health and product quality
- Set up, disconnect and operate automated plasmapheresis machines
- Disconnect and dispose of contaminated disposable equipment
- Work in a plasma center performing physically demanding duties
Requirements

- High School diploma or GED
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Interest in making a difference in the world
- Obtains required state licensures or certifications where applicable
- Patient and reliable
- Ability to keep donors comfortable and happy
- Ability to comprehend and follow oral or written instructions
- Ability to listen to and understand spoken information and ideas
- Ability to relate sensitive information to diverse groups
- Ability to stand for 6 to 8 hours per day
- Ability to perform frequent hand movements and precise coordinated finger, hand, and wrist movements
- Ability to perform frequent foot movement and walk up to 6 to 8 hours per day
- Ability to lift 15 lbs., with a maximum lift of 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in exposure to biological fluids, infectious organisms, electrical equipment and extreme cold below 32°F
- Hearing acuity essential
- Correctable near and far vision requirements; vision correctable in one eye to 20/30 and the other eye to 20/100
- Ability to use personal protective equipment
