About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist in determining donor suitability
- Establish rapport with donors to ensure customer satisfaction while maintaining donor confidentiality
- Respond to and assist with donor reactions
- Monitor donors and equipment to ensure donor health and product quality
- Set up, disconnect, and operate automated plasmapheresis machines
- Disconnect and dispose of contaminated disposable equipment
- Work in a plasma center manufacturing environment
Requirements
What you’ll need- Superior customer service standards
- A High School diploma or GED
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- An interest in making a difference in the world
- Obtains required state licensures or certifications where applicable
- Ability to comprehend and follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to listen to and understand spoken information
- Ability to relate sensitive information to diverse groups
- Ability to stand for 6 to 8 hours per day
- Ability to bend and twist neck and waist for 1–2 hours per day
- Frequent hand movement and precise finger, hand, and wrist coordination
- Ability to perform frequent foot movement and occasional squatting, crouching, or sitting on heels
- Ability to walk up to 6–8 hours per day
- Ability to lift 15 lbs., with a maximum lift of 50 lbs.
- Ability to reach below shoulder height
- Essential hearing acuity
- Color perception/discrimination and correctable near/far vision
- Ability to work with personal protective equipment and in a plasma-center environment with biological-fluid exposure and extreme cold
