About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Collect and process donor samples for processing and testing
- Record product and sample weights
- Label samples and freeze units for final packing within the required timeframe
- Pack units for final shipment
- Pack samples and prepare shipping boxes for shipment to the testing laboratory
- Monitor stored products
- Report equipment working conditions
- Maintain accurate donor files
- Handle shipping and inventory control responsibilities
- Maintain active communication and quality
Requirements
What you’ll need- Superior customer service standards
- High School diploma or GED
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Great organizational, computer, and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures, including extreme cold below 32 degrees F
- Ability to handle exposure to biological fluids and potentially infectious organisms
- Ability to comprehend and follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to listen to and understand spoken information and sentences
- Ability to perform precise, coordinated finger, hand, and wrist movements
- Hearing acuity essential
- Color perception/discrimination
- Near vision and far vision correctable in one eye to 20/30 and the other eye to 20/100
- Ability to stand for 4 to 6 hours per day
- Ability to bend and twist neck and waist for 1–2 hours per day
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.; lift 25–35 lbs. for 1–2 hours per day
- Ability to squat, crouch, sit on one's heels, walk, and reach below shoulder height as required
