  • Ability to listen to and understand spoken information
  • Ability to perform precise, coordinated finger, hand, and wrist movements
  • Hearing acuity essential
  • Color perception/discrimination
  • Near and far vision correctable in one eye to 20/30 and the other eye to 20/100
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.; routinely lift 25–35 lbs.
  • Ability to stand 4–6 hours per day, bend and twist, walk 1–2 hours per day, and perform occasional squatting/crouching
  • Ability to work around biological fluids and potentially infectious organisms
  • Ability to work with electrical office and laboratory equipment
