About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Scan plasma units assigned to a PU using a barcode reader.
  • Scan archive samples assigned to an SA using a barcode reader.
  • Transfer units to a sub-shipment during the PU process.
  • Enter statistics during the PU process.
  • Verify sub-shipments at the end of the PU process.
  • Block units that do not meet customer requirements.
  • Perform visual inspection and process various plasma rejections.
  • Remove unsuitable plasma units marked for removal in SGP during the PU process.
  • Maintain record accountability.
  • Perform duties with minimum supervision and follow written procedures.
  • Monitor plasma time out of freezer.
  • Follow department housekeeping and safety practices.
  • Process unsuitable plasma units during any step of the plasma process.
  • Transfer unsuitable plasma units to the correct reject inventory.
  • Transfer units between PU/LOT to a PU.
  • Meet department average throughput consistently.
  • Use SGP status and disposition codes and understand labeling requirements.
  • Scan cases/units to third-party sale and MDO processes using the Disposition Module.
  • Complete partial PU cases between PUs.
  • Perform line clearance at the end of a plasma process.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years’ experience in Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical or other FDA licensed Industry is required.
  • Knowledge of cGMPs and Industry Standards.
  • Ability to follow “Standard Operating Procedures”.
  • Possess good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possess basic math skills (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication).
  • Basic Computer skills.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with rotating shifts and exposure to biological fluids, chemicals, electrical manufacturing equipment, hand tools, moving machinery, high noise, extreme cold, and confined spaces.
  • Ability to stand and walk for 6–8 hours per day; bend and twist neck and waist for 6–8 hours per day.
  • Ability to perform frequent hand and foot movements and precise coordinated finger movements.
  • Ability to lift and carry 15–44 lbs frequently and 45–50 lbs occasionally/frequently as specified.
  • Hearing acuity essential; color perception/discrimination, depth perception, and correctable far vision required.
  • Ability to communicate and understand spoken and written information.
  • Ability to perform simple, routine tasks by following written or oral instructions/procedures.
