About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Evaluate visual, dimensional, and functional critical quality attributes of quality-managed materials
  • Coordinate required chemical and biological testing
  • Execute approved usage and release decisions for quality-managed materials
  • Issue and track Incidents/Raw Material Reports for discrepant material
  • Quarantine discrepant product according to approved disposition procedures
  • Stay current with changing regulatory-agency requirements
  • Reconcile all released products, including labels, plasma, and raw material components
  • Inspect final-container reserve samples according to approved procedures
  • Perform packaging-area quality representative duties, including sampling, auditing, and quality decisions
  • Audit final product batches using designated sampling plans
  • Perform reserve sampling, post-pack identity sampling, packaging commodity verification and reconciliation, line-clearance verification, and stability-sample inspection
  • Associate-level coordinators train new employees and serve as subject matter experts

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of an Associate's degree with an emphasis in sciences or mathematics, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of one year of related experience, preferably as a QC Assistant Materials Evaluation
  • Prior inspection experience, such as manufacturing components or packaged goods
  • Extensive knowledge of cGMP, company specifications, and distribution operating procedures
  • Computer skills
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including proper grammar
  • Ability to maintain neat, accurate, and complete records
  • Ability to distinguish insignificant deviations from significant deviations affecting material integrity
  • Ability to understand statistical sampling concepts
  • Ability to work with limited supervision and defend decisions based on specifications and procedures
  • Ability to wear required safety equipment and work with raw material chemicals
  • Near vision meeting the stated corrective-vision requirements; no color blindness; excellent color and depth discrimination
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.; occupational description also specifies light to moderate lifting up to 35 lbs.
  • Ability to successfully pass certification requirements for product final container visual inspection
