About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist the Global Innovation & R&D Controlling department with control and reporting for the Scientific Innovation Office
  • Perform month-end close duties, including journal entries and management reports
  • Understand ongoing R&D operations and the status of R&D projects
  • Manage actuals versus budget to help R&D attain targets
  • Oversee maintenance of R&D tracking systems and enhance project tracking capabilities
  • Develop methodologies and execute processes to create meaningful data representations for R&D project tracking
  • Perform business budgeting and forecasting
  • Manage monthly and year-end closing and financial reporting processes
  • Analyze operating results and budget-versus-actual reporting, including detailed variance explanations
  • Provide support for special projects and ad hoc requests
  • Prepare business cases and financial evaluations for pipeline projects and new business opportunities
  • Assist in maintaining the cost accounting system, including master data and project portfolio

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BA in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum 3-5 years relevant experience, preferably in multinational corporations
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Experience in Pharma
