About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Supervise the receipt, handling, verification, storage, inventory management, and distribution of human blood plasma
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, cGMP requirements, OSHA standards, safety, quality, storage, and production requirements
- Ensure the timely delivery of plasma lots to the appropriate customers
- Remove, account for, and disposition non-conforming plasma units in accordance with documented procedures
- Interview, hire, train, and directly supervise Plasma Operations employees
- Monitor employee performance, employee relations, and quality standards
- Develop and maintain departmental SOPs
- Coordinate and oversee inventory transactions for raw plasma storage and movement
- Maintain inventory accuracy targets
- Collaborate with manufacturing, freight carriers, Quality Operations, and other internal and external groups
- Evaluate incoming plasma with Quality Operations to determine acceptability or non-conformance
- Assist with annual budget preparation and monthly expense monitoring
- Support resource budgeting and allocation for personnel, equipment, and supplies
- Develop and prioritize training needs and manage PLC training matrices
- Coordinate departmental training and required documentation
- Establish continuous improvement processes for training materials
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum high school education required
- Minimum 5 years of experience in warehouse operations within a highly regulated environment
- Previous supervisory or people management experience
- Valid forklift operator certification and/or experience operating material handling equipment required
- Knowledge of SAP considered an asset
- Leadership and independent decision-making capabilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of urgency
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Eligibility and willingness to travel to other Grifols sites for training purposes
- Bilingualism in spoken and written French and English
