About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the engineering department in an expansion project at Grifols Canada Therapeutics’ plasma-derived medicinal product manufacturing site in Montreal
- Work alongside process, utility, automation, and mechanical engineers
- Support engineers with advanced tasks, including sequence and alarm testing
- Support Automation and Process Engineers with program and equipment testing
- Support broad-scale work impacting the site’s clean utilities
- Work with plumbers, electricians, and other contractors to execute project tasks
- Walk down P&IDs
- Check component lists
- Assemble system documentation
Requirements
What you’ll need- Currently enrolled in an Engineering program
- Bachelor’s in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering preferred
- Available for an 8–12 month full-time internship in Montréal, Québec
- Proficiency with Microsoft systems
- AutoCAD experience would be an asset
- Ability to interpret Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) would be an asset
- Ability to interpret single-line electrical drawings would be an asset
- Team player who enjoys working with others
- Ability to communicate in English and French
- English proficiency required for documentation exchanges and communications with Grifols sites outside Québec and Canada, including Spain and the USA
