About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day legal partner to Product Management, Engineering, Design, Data, and Trust & Safety across the full product lifecycle
  • Advise on innovative, AI-enabled product features, personalization and recommendations, location-based products, subscriptions and payments, and growth initiatives
  • Help product teams develop user-centered approaches to disclosure, consent, education, and choice
  • Connect Product Development teams with Legal & Privacy subject matter experts and outside counsel while retaining issue ownership
  • Partner with the Privacy team on sensitive data, notice and consent, user controls, data-sharing practices, DSAR rights, and privacy-by-design
  • Build scalable legal tools, playbooks, review processes, and decision frameworks
  • Counsel senior stakeholders, executives, and the Board on AI regulation and governance, online safety, age assurance, consumer protection, and platform regulation across key markets

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least 8 years of experience, including significant in-house experience, providing product counseling to dynamic consumer internet businesses
  • Demonstrated track record of excellence and professional advancement
  • Exceptional legal judgment and ability to turn unsettled legal questions into practical recommendations
  • Strong cross-functional partnership skills with product leaders, engineers, designers, and executives
  • Ability to create clarity and scalable process in fast-moving, ambiguous environments
  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Strong academic record
  • Active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
  • Ability to work in the United States; application asks about U.S. work authorization and sponsorship
