About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Collaborate with a cross-functional, cross-timezone team to improve the Grindr app
Work across multiple work streams and use ambiguity for high-level thinking
Guide data-driven technology, architecture, and workflow decisions through A/B testing and real-time observability
Elevate the team's technical proficiency and adoption of new tools and working methods
Architect and implement A/B tests for core Monetization features
Modernize the iOS stack
Partner with backend and Android teams to define the evolution of Grindr's core product
Evolve and maintain software architecture for current and future needs
Develop innovative, consumer-facing mobile products while supporting the product roadmap
Lead ownership and implement organizational change

Requirements

What you’ll need

At least 6 years of experience building complex iOS applications
Technical experience enabling individual contributors' creativity and innovation
Experience with product leadership and technical decision-making
Experience balancing product and code tradeoffs
Experience working with business stakeholders from the C-suite and VP level downward
Ability to contribute deeply to code and mentor the team on long-term initiatives
Strong practical knowledge of software engineering best practices and design patterns, including MVVM, Coordinator, one-way data flow, modular architecture, performance optimization, and metrics
Experience with architecture at scale
Experience working with technology stacks outside of mobile
Strong knowledge of Swift, SwiftUI, FactoryKit, and Swift Concurrency
