About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop, enhance, and maintain robust microservices and applications using Java 8+ and Spring Boot
Design and consume RESTful APIs, ensuring high performance, resilience, and security with OAuth2, JWT, and Spring Security
Work on the integration of complex systems and the modernization and support of existing architectures and legacy systems
Implement and manage asynchronous messaging workflows using Apache Kafka
Ensure code quality and reliability through unit testing with JUnit and Mockito and CI/CD practices
Design and optimize queries for relational and NoSQL databases

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong experience with Java 8+ and the Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Data JPA)
Proficiency in implementing security with Spring Security, OAuth2, and JWT
In-depth knowledge of Hibernate/JPA and REST API design
Strong knowledge of advanced SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, or SQL Server)
Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB or similar)
Experience with event-driven architecture and messaging using Apache Kafka
Experience with automated testing (JUnit, Mockito) and version control using Git
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and system monitoring tools
Proven experience supporting and maintaining legacy systems
Preferred: hands-on experience with Quarkus (CDI and native builds)
Preferred: knowledge of Angular, TypeScript, RxJS, HTML5, and CSS3
Preferred: experience with or familiarity with SAP environments and integrations via IDoc, BAPI, or RFC
