About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design and develop analog and digital electronic functions
  • Perform all activities throughout the design lifecycle, from requirements definition through verification and qualification
  • Produce design, justification, and verification documentation in English
  • Participate in defining and designing electronic architectures
  • Design and size DC/DC power supplies
  • Work on architectures incorporating FPGAs and microcontrollers
  • Design power output stages and manage MOSFETs
  • Design low-level signal conditioning stages
  • Create electronic schematics using OrCAD CIS
  • Consider placement and routing constraints from the design phase onward
  • Perform calculations related to EMC filters and lightning protection
  • Conduct power, parts-stress, and thermal dissipation calculations
  • Participate in verification, validation, and qualification activities within the V-model lifecycle
  • Ensure development compliance with applicable standards and regulations
  • Work with international teams based in San Diego during weekly conference calls in English

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master’s degree (Bac+5) in electronics, electrical engineering, or embedded systems
  • Significant experience (minimum 5 years) in electronics design
  • Strong skills in analog and digital electronics
  • Good command of DC/DC power supplies
  • Solid knowledge of FPGA and microcontroller technologies
  • Proficiency in OrCAD CIS
  • Good knowledge of PCB placement and routing constraints
  • Proficiency in EMC issues and lightning protection
  • Skills in power, parts-stress, and thermal dissipation calculations
  • Good understanding of the V-model lifecycle, particularly verification and qualification activities
  • Professional English proficiency for regular communication with international teams
  • Ability to work independently, strong attention to detail, and the capacity to address complex technical topics
  • Experience in the aerospace sector or in a regulated environment would be a significant advantage
  • Applicable standards and guidelines: DO-254, EASA CM-SWCEH-001 Issue 01, and DO-160
