About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Execute software-hardware integration (ILM) and validation test campaigns on test benches and simulators.
- Draft test specifications, test procedures, and campaign reports.
- Review and contribute to test and validation plans, ensuring traceability to requirements.
- Analyze technical issues (FTs): reproduce, qualify, and document anomalies, then track them in JIRA.
- Integrate new software versions onto test benches and target systems.
- Keep test benches and simulators operational through configuration, updates, and troubleshooting.
- Implement and troubleshoot Ethernet communications (TCP/IP, UDP) and serial links (RS232, RS422, RS485), particularly using Wireshark.
- Work in Linux and Windows environments, using Bash or Python scripting to automate selected tasks.
- Work with a major player in the land defense sector as part of an Integration, Verification, Validation, and Qualification team.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Education: Master’s degree (engineering school or university) in embedded systems, electronics, industrial computing, or a related field. Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree and substantial validation experience will also be considered.
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience in validation, testing, or IVVQ of embedded systems or software, ideally in a safety- or mission-critical environment (defense, aerospace, rail, or space).
- Technical skills: V-model and verification and validation methodologies, JIRA, Linux and Windows, Ethernet and serial protocols, and network analysis tools.
- Preferred: Python or Bash, DOORS or Polarion, and knowledge of defense industry standards.
- French nationality required: this position is subject to defense security clearance.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, excellent writing skills, perseverance when addressing complex anomalies, and a strong team spirit.
