About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide first-line IT support to employees by phone, email, or in person
  • Diagnose hardware and software incidents and provide appropriate solutions
  • Resolve Level 1 incidents and perform an initial analysis before escalating to systems administrators when necessary
  • Track tickets through to resolution and ensure all interventions are properly documented
  • Assist users with the use of IT tools and equipment
  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows workstations
  • Perform routine workstation operations, including domain joining, firewall configuration, checks, cleaning, and component replacement
  • Install business software and configure printers and peripheral devices
  • Assist with user account management, password resets, and VPN account creation
  • Deploy updates and monitor antivirus protection and workstation compliance
  • Participate in the daily operation of the Linux infrastructure
  • Check the status of servers and services, verify backups, and monitor system logs
  • Perform routine operations in Linux environments, including controlled service restarts and scheduled maintenance
  • Perform first-line network diagnostics, including connectivity, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, Wi-Fi, VPN, and VLAN troubleshooting
  • Carry out basic patching and cabling operations and participate in the deployment of new network equipment
  • Work on gateway-type equipment, including parameter changes, firewall configuration, firmware updates, and VLAN segmentation
  • Assist with IT asset management, including inventory, stock monitoring, equipment receipt, and preparation
  • Dispose of equipment in accordance with internal procedures
  • Update procedures, document incidents, and contribute to the knowledge base
  • Help implement cybersecurity and information security best practices across the company

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Two-year post-secondary degree in IT, such as a BTS SIO, BTS CIEL, BUT in Computer Science, DUT in Computer Science, or equivalent qualification
  • Entry-level candidates are welcome, including those with initial experience gained through an apprenticeship or work-study program
  • Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 environments
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, RSAT tools, and Group Policy Objects (GPOs)
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Entra ID
  • Basic Linux administration skills in Ubuntu, Debian, or Red Hat environments
  • Basic networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, 802.1X, VLANs, and Wi-Fi
  • Knowledge of VPNs, particularly OpenVPN
  • Proficiency with common Linux commands: SSH, journalctl, systemctl, ls, cp, mv, chmod/chown
  • Knowledge of PowerShell and Bash
  • Familiarity with ticketing and remote-access tools
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of WSL
  • Awareness of IT security best practices, including password management, phishing prevention, access-rights management, and compliance with information security procedures
  • Occasional travel to the company’s various sites
  • Occasional participation in on-call rotations
