About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support a leading energy engineering firm on projects involving the modernization and continued operational readiness of nuclear facilities
  • Work across the entire project life cycle, from preliminary studies through construction monitoring
  • Ensure control of costs, schedules, and safety requirements
  • Lead all or part of an engineering project in a highly regulated environment
  • Coordinate technical studies and oversee the project’s technical and financial performance
  • Prepare or review preliminary design studies (APS) and detailed design studies (APD)
  • Define and schedule project tasks and milestones
  • Monitor the project’s technical progress, budget, and schedule
  • Verify the compliance of studies carried out by the various contributors
  • Monitor construction phases and coordinate related activities
  • Serve as the technical interface with the client and stakeholders
  • Identify, analyze, and monitor risks that may affect the project
  • Ensure the application of nuclear safety principles and methods
  • Participate in project reviews and report progress to management and the client
  • Contribute to the preparation and updating of technical and contractual documentation
  • Coordinate the internal and external contributors involved in the project

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Degree from an engineering school or a Master’s degree (five years of higher education), ideally in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or process engineering
  • At least 3 years of project management experience
  • Experience ideally gained in the nuclear sector or an industry with stringent safety requirements
  • Good knowledge of the nuclear environment and best practices related to safety-significant activities
  • Strong nuclear safety culture
  • Good command of project monitoring tools, including scheduling, cost, and documentation tools
  • Thoroughness and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to lead multiple contributors and coordinate multidisciplinary teams
  • Comfortable handling technical and contractual discussions with clients
  • Analytical mindset and ability to anticipate risks
  • Autonomy and a strong sense of responsibility
  • Responsive when faced with construction-site or scheduling contingencies
