About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Structure and manage the industrialization plan for a fiber-optic optoelectronic component integrating active optical functions
  • Define, develop, and validate critical manufacturing processes, including precision assembly, optical alignment, fiber attachment, adjustment, testing, and qualification
  • Set up and validate a pilot line, then prepare for and manage production ramp-up
  • Develop production lines and standardize processes and equipment for multi-line and multi-site deployment
  • Define and validate industrial equipment, including tooling, optical test benches, and inspection equipment
  • Analyze capacity, cycle time, yield, production flow, and manufacturing constraints
  • Prepare pre-series production runs, lead process validation, and manage industrial qualification
  • Lead industrial risk analyses (Process FMEA) and drive continuous improvement and process robustness
  • Coordinate internal contributors from R&D, Quality, Production, and Purchasing, as well as suppliers and subcontractors
  • Manage industrial deliverables, schedules, risks, and progress reporting using Jira, Confluence, ERP systems, and scheduling tools

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master’s degree: engineering school or degree in optics/photonics, optoelectronics, mechatronics, microtechnology, or industrial engineering
  • At least 5 years of experience in the industrialization of optoelectronic or photonic components/subassemblies, ideally fiber-optic products
  • Experience transferring products from R&D to production, including pilot lines, pre-series production, ramp-up, and industrial qualification
  • Strong knowledge of precision assembly, active/passive optical alignment, bonding, soldering, and fiber handling
  • Proficiency in optical performance testing
  • Experience specifying and validating tooling, test benches, and inspection equipment
  • Skills in capacity analysis, cycle time, yield, OEE, and production-flow analysis
  • Knowledge of Process FMEA, control plans, and continuous improvement methods (Lean, problem-solving)
  • Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and scheduling tools (MS Project or equivalent)
  • Electrical safety authorization and laser safety training, or willingness to obtain them
  • Technical English in an international group environment is an advantage
  • Cross-functional leadership, rigor, autonomy, hands-on pragmatism, strong synthesis skills, and confidence in progress reporting
