About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Structure project requirements and ensure their traceability through to testing
- Monitor requirements coverage throughout the project life cycle
- Control the versions of project documents and technical items
- Establish project baselines at key milestones
- Coordinate impact analyses related to developments and changes
- Lead change control boards (change committees)
- Monitor the implementation of decisions made by change control boards
- Deploy best practices in requirements and configuration management among project managers, design offices, and quality and validation teams
- Support multidisciplinary teams in adopting processes and tools
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of requirements and configuration management processes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master’s degree (engineering degree or equivalent) in systems engineering, quality, or a related technical field
- Proven senior-level experience in requirements and configuration management for complex systems
- Experience in highly regulated industrial environments (nuclear, defense, aerospace, or rail) is highly desirable
- Proficiency in one or more requirements and configuration management tools (Cradle, DOORS, Polarion, or equivalent)
- Good understanding of the systems development life cycle and verification and validation activities
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams
- Strong analytical and synthesis skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills when working with a variety of stakeholders
- Ability to coach and support teams effectively
- Strong sense of responsibility
- Knowledge of configuration management principles (standards such as ANSI/EIA-649 or equivalent) is a plus
- Experience leading change control boards (CCBs) is a plus
- Knowledge of systems engineering activities (IVVQ) is a plus
