Key responsibilities & impact
  • Facilitate rapid-access intakes and enhanced medical support during members’ early weeks of treatment
  • Use telemedicine extensively to support members
  • Provide longitudinal maintenance care to a panel of members
  • Provide coverage when regular provider colleagues are unavailable
  • Support launches into new markets and geographies
  • Partner with medical leadership to develop and deploy new medical service lines
  • Adhere to clinical policies and procedures in the GRS Manual
  • Determine medical necessity and treatment appropriateness
  • Prescribe buprenorphine/naloxone and other approved withdrawal medications when appropriate
  • Maintain intake shifts and provide rapid-access telemedicine intakes across multiple geographies
  • Complete intake documentation accurately and efficiently
  • Coordinate transitions with community providers and regular maintenance groups
  • Escalate controversial situations to medical or clinical leadership
  • Maintain a panel of maintenance members and serve as their dedicated provider
  • Meet patients prescribed buprenorphine at least every 30 days
  • Address medical issues between monthly visits by phone and email
  • Conduct medically necessary individual sessions
  • Maintain confidential, timely, HIPAA-compliant medical records
  • Provide makeup-group and makeup-session coverage
  • Participate in rotating urgent prescription on-call coverage
  • Facilitate access to the state prescription drug monitoring database
  • Complete encounter documentation and sign prescriptions the same business day
  • Manage group and individual sessions to keep schedules on track
  • Maintain a mutually beneficial clinical schedule with office staff
  • Follow up on interprofessional communication
  • Assist with onboarding, training, and supporting new providers
  • Pilot initiatives to improve early-treatment outcomes
  • Perform other assigned duties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Physician, Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with active state license in good standing
  • Willing and able to become licensed in multiple other states where Groups operates or will operate soon
  • Willingness and ability to become credentialed with all government and private health plans with whom Groups Recover Together is in network
  • Ability to see members in-person at several state locations
  • At least 1 year of experience managing OUD with buprenorphine
  • At least 1 year of experience working in a team-based-care setting with behavioral health providers
  • At least 2 years of experience working with a similar member population
  • Adequate internet connectivity to support telemedicine if working from home
  • Reliable internet and telephone services with at least 10M download and 5M upload, plus a strong WiFi signal
  • Ability to demonstrate recovery-sensitive behaviors
  • Ability to maintain courteous and professional communications
  • Illinois-only: employees covered by the stated policy who physically enter an office or provide member-facing in-person treatment must be vaccinated against COVID-19 unless reasonably accommodated
