About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Coordinate the environmental department and oversee the Environmental Analyst teams at the manufacturing sites
- Support the sites and provide guidance on environmental matters and related legislation
- Assess licensing processes at the federal, state, and municipal levels, coordinating deadlines and legal obligations
- Monitor the recovery and remediation of contaminated or degraded areas
- Implement environmental quality and safety tools and seek new technologies
- Liaise with the relevant environmental authorities, ensuring compliance with legislation, legal requirements, and mandatory conditions
- Provide the Environmental Manager with information on the environmental needs of the operational sites
- Critically assess process changes and the implementation of new processes and products from an environmental perspective
- Guide and oversee the site's waste management operations
- Implement and maintain environmental management systems, including manuals, procedures, and internal and external audits
- Organize meetings and support management reviews of the system by senior leadership
- Monitor the site's Environmental Management System
- Manage licenses and conditions, ensuring their validity and timely renewal through software
- Support the qualification of service providers for quality services, environmental monitoring, and waste disposal
- Ensure the issuance and renewal of licenses with CETESB, the Federal Police, Civil Police, Brazilian Army, DAEE, and the City Hall
- Support or identify environmental training needs
- Investigate environmental accidents, incidents, and nonconformities
- Comply with the criteria and procedures of the Environmental Management System and properly maintain the designated PPE
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Environmental Management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Postgraduate degree in areas related to the activities performed (a plus)
- Knowledge of Protheus (a plus)
- Knowledge of Prophix (a plus)
- Active CRQ registration and English proficiency (a plus)
- Knowledge of management software such as Onegreen (a plus)
- Availability to work in Rio Claro, São Paulo, Brazil
