About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work within the Marketplace and Finance ecosystem
- Design, evolve, and take ownership of the lifecycle of high-performance, scalable distributed solutions
- Ensure Clean Code, functional programming, continuous refactoring, Code Review, and Pair Programming
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and break down complex problems
- Promote the automation of unit and integration testing (TDD/BDD)
- Ensure application security governance using OAuth and JWT
- Monitor and lead root cause analysis of critical production incidents
- Develop and maintain resilient backend solutions with Java/Kotlin and Spring Boot
- Build modern, accessible frontend interfaces using React, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and Design Systems
- Design and manage microservices, REST APIs, and event-driven asynchronous messaging
- Structure and manage managed services and serverless architectures on AWS or GCP
- Maintain technical documentation and support the refinement of technical stories with the agile team
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong experience in backend development using Java, Kotlin, and Spring Boot
- Knowledge of frontend development using React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and integration with Design Systems
- Strong experience with distributed architecture, event-driven systems, microservices, REST APIs, and messaging (Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar technologies)
- Proficiency in relational (SQL) and non-relational (NoSQL) databases
- Experience with cloud architecture (AWS or GCP), managed services, and serverless solutions
- Proficiency in Git, code governance (Code Review), and automated testing (TDD, BDD, and unit testing)
- Practical knowledge of application security (OAuth, JWT) and observability
- Experience with functional programming and Scala is a plus
- Experience with e-commerce platforms, marketplaces, or monetization and financial services solutions is a plus
- Experience with agile methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen engineering culture is a plus
