About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage a multidisciplinary technical team, allocating resources to investigate the root causes of deviations in products and raw materials
  • Manage the project portfolio, optimizing staffing and budgets to meet deadlines and targets
  • Lead technical decision-making committees covering raw material stability, development, and performance
  • Define action plans for raw material issues and manage negotiations and communication with suppliers
  • Intervene in processes to drive continuous improvement and manage KPIs and financial indicators
  • Manage communication with R&D, Quality, and Procurement, ensuring cross-functional alignment and collaboration
  • Report to senior leadership on the status of critical projects, including alternative material validation and shelf-life extensions
  • Comply with Quality, Health, Safety, Environmental, and Energy Efficiency policies
  • Meet IMS targets and GMP commitments in accordance with RDC 48 and ISO 22716
  • Define the roadmap for analytical technologies and methods supporting innovation and new product projects
  • Identify technical risks and make decisions throughout product development
  • Ensure timelines for product stability studies and the introduction of new raw materials
  • Manage CapEx, the cost center, and operations across three laboratories in São José dos Pinhais and Camaçari

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
  • Postgraduate studies in progress or completed in the relevant field
  • Extensive, proven experience leading technical teams in Research and Development (R&D), Quality Control, or Analytical Development
  • Strong command of and autonomy in applying methodologies to solve complex problems
  • In-depth technical knowledge and autonomy in the development and validation of processes and products
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, guide, and develop technical teams
  • Strong expertise in monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and managing departmental budgets
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and alignment skills when working with cross-functional teams
  • Commitment to GMP in accordance with RDC 48 and ISO 22716
