About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the design and evolution of data architecture, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
Define and promote engineering and governance best practices, and recommend new technologies to optimize the data ecosystem.
Design, build, and optimize complex data pipelines (ETL/ELT), including orchestration and automation.
Structure and refine Data Warehouses and Data Lakes, applying advanced dimensional modeling techniques.
Ensure data quality, integrity, and availability through monitoring frameworks.
Provide technical leadership for data projects from conception through final delivery, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful outcomes.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Proven experience in data engineering solution architecture and technical leadership of complex projects.
In-depth knowledge of dimensional modeling (Star Schema, Snowflake), Data Warehouse optimization, Data Lakes, and ETL/ELT processes, with strong proficiency in SQL and Python.
Solid experience with cloud data platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure and tools such as Data Factory, Databricks, and Power BI.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps and DataOps practices.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical solutions to business and technology teams.
Analytical, proactive, and self-directed, with the ability to identify problems and propose innovative solutions.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
A postgraduate degree in Data-related studies is a plus.
