About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Review and verify tax documents
- Calculate and determine taxes in accordance with current legislation, including ICMS, ISS, IPI, IRPJ, CSLL, PIS, and COFINS
- Prepare and file periodic tax returns, such as DCTFWeb, SPED Fiscal, and SPED Contributions
- Verify and validate incoming and outgoing invoices, ensuring compliance with tax and accounting requirements
- Perform tax reconciliations and month-end closing
- Generate and issue payment forms for taxes and contributions, such as DARF, GPS, and DAS
- Review tax calculations to prevent errors, inconsistencies, tax assessments, and penalties
- Provide client support by answering tax-related questions and advising on procedures
- Request and issue tax clearance certificates from government authorities
- Participate in tax training and professional development courses
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree in Accounting in progress or completed
- Previous experience with tax routines and compliance processes
- Up-to-date knowledge of Brazil’s tax reform
- Experience with the Actual Profit taxation regime (Lucro Real)
- Knowledge of the Domínio accounting system
- Experience working at an accounting firm
