About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage and maintain physical data center infrastructure, including bare-metal servers, storage systems, switches, and racks
  • Administer Linux and Windows Server environments, performing maintenance, updates, and performance tuning
  • Manage identity and access using Active Directory, RADIUS, and SSO
  • Operate and optimize KVM virtualization environments, performing migrations and resource management
  • Manage backup and disaster recovery procedures, ensuring data integrity and conducting periodic restoration tests
  • Configure and maintain network devices, such as switches, routers, and access points, managing VLANs, routes, and ACLs
  • Administer firewall rules and client-to-site and site-to-site VPNs, as well as monitor IDS/IPS systems
  • Maintain connectivity through site-to-site VPN tunnels, manage redundant internet links, and support troubleshooting of L2L and MPLS dedicated circuits with telecommunications carriers
  • Monitor network performance, analyzing traffic metrics and resolving bottlenecks
  • Assist with the implementation of OSPF and BGP dynamic routing protocols
  • Identify opportunities to improve the architecture and propose new technologies
  • Keep technical documentation up to date, including topologies, configuration manuals, and inventory
  • Provide Level 2 and Level 3 technical support, resolving complex issues and documenting root causes in postmortems

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Solid experience administering Linux and Windows servers
  • In-depth knowledge of networking, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing
  • Experience with firewalls such as Fortinet, pfSense, Cisco, or equivalent solutions
  • Proficiency with virtualization tools
  • Knowledge of encryption protocols and digital certificates
  • Proficiency with monitoring tools such as Zabbix, Grafana, PRTG, or equivalent solutions
  • Proficiency with user authentication systems, including Active Directory and LDAP
  • Advanced English proficiency for technical conversations with clients and vendors
  • Experience in mission-critical environments
  • Experience with IP telephony and Asterisk PBX
  • Advanced knowledge of BGP and OSPF
  • Knowledge of and troubleshooting experience with dedicated data transport circuits, such as L2L and MPLS
  • Experience with cloud environments, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Knowledge of automation using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or Ansible
  • Knowledge of enterprise backup solutions, such as Veeam, Bacula, Veritas, or equivalent solutions
  • Knowledge of AI for task automation and optimization
